Hard Honey is wild honey that has been naturally aged in the forests of origin. This is due to a number of factors, some of which are:

1. The hive is concealed thus not immediately visible to the bee gatherers;

2. The bees in the hive are agitated thus making it hard for the bee gatherers to harvest the honey, or;

3. The bee gatherers have more important activities such as tending the farm, family or main livelihood thus delaying their harvesting of honey in the forest.
